No single price guide can determine exactly what a coin is worth. A price-guide amount, dealer offer, auction result, insurance value, and retail asking price may all be different. Coin values can vary based on condition, grade, rarity, demand, authenticity, eye appeal, and recent market activity. The following independent resources can help collectors research estimated values and compare actual selling prices.
Before relying on a listed value, confirm the coin’s denomination, date, mint mark, variety, condition, grade, and authenticity. Cleaned, damaged, altered, counterfeit, or incorrectly identified coins may be worth considerably less than an undamaged and properly graded example.
